Stefan Bauernfried, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Genentech. His research focuses on innate immune sensing, inflammasome biology, host-pathogen interactions, viral immunology, and herpesvirus biology. He is particularly interested in mechanisms of inflammasome activation and host defense against viral infection.
